Terms of Use

Fete · Last updated 20 September 2026

Fete is a shared photo album for one party. By using it you agree to these terms. They exist mostly to say plainly what the app does to your photographs, because some of it is not what you would assume.

The iOS app is also licensed under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).

The part worth reading

The host of a party can delete anything in it. That includes photographs you took. It is how a leaked party code stays survivable, and how somebody running a party can deal with content they do not want at it.

A host can also remove you from their party, and doing so deletes every photograph you contributed to it. This cannot be undone, by them or by us.

If neither of those is acceptable to you for a particular photograph, do not put that photograph in somebody else's party.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour in Fete. You agree not to post content that is:

Anyone at a party can report a photograph, and a reported photograph is removed from the party immediately and automatically. Reports are reviewed, and accounts that post prohibited content may be removed without notice. You can also block another person, which hides everything they post from you everywhere in the app.

Your photographs

They remain yours. You give us permission to store them and to show them to the other people at the party you put them in, which is what makes the app work. We do not use them for anything else, and we do not sell them.

Your account

You are responsible for what is posted from your account. Do not share your sign-in details. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time, which deletes your photographs along with it.

If you use the app without creating an account, your identity lives on the device. Delete the app and that identity is gone, and with it your ability to remove photographs you posted.

Using the app

You agree not to:

Availability

Fete is provided as it is. Parties close, photographs can be deleted by hosts, and we make no promise that anything you post will remain available. Keep your own copy of anything you want to keep.

Ending access

We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, including for a single serious breach.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top will change and the new version will be here.
